Actress Scarlet Gomez has said that whenever she is on social media, she ignores negative comments because she believes that it should be a platform for positivity.
Gomez was nominated in the “Best Actor in a Drama” category at the recently held African Magic Viewers Choice Awards, he said. Saturday rhythms, “I try to ignore the negative comments. And, when necessary, I direct and move forward. I strongly believe that social media should be a platform for positivity and support, not a place for bullying or dragging others down. I try to stay classy and keep moving forward.”
Talking about how she landed her role in the soap opera ‘Wura’, the actor said, “First of all, I was playing the character of someone older than me. I had to think as if I was that age. You can’t compare the way a 31-year-old walks with a 45-year-old. Also, because the character’s and my values are not the same, I had a conflict of interest. However, I was able to pull through. I think I did a good job.”
Gomez stated that the reception to her role was surprising. “I didn’t think people would like it that much. It’s catching on like wildfire, and it’s amazing. The love has been so unreal,” she said.
The actor also stated that he does not underestimate anyone. He said: “I’m not the type of person to belittle anyone. I always want to respond to everyone’s comments and be nice to them. However, it can be tiring at times.”
