brazilian Expert Fabio Montezine has praised the Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for his exceptional qualities and rated him as the best player of the Partenopei this season.
Osimhen has had a tremendous start to the 2022/23 season scoring 10 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions.
Speaking in Qatar, the 43-year-old former Napoli player said Osimhen is the only player at the club who has impressed him the most with his classic performances.
“A lot. But the Napoli player that excites me the most is Osimhen,” said Montezin, as reported by Tutton Napoli.
“He is doing extraordinary things, I didn’t think he could play so well and score so often. I found out later that he is a creep. So many years after the games played in Naples, it’s extraordinary to see the team up there, first of all, fighting for the Scudetto more than ever.”
Osimhen emerged as the best young player of the year in 2022, winning the prestigious 2022 Globe Soccer Awards on Thursday, winning the Gavi and Valverde awards.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Serie A leaders for €75 million in September 2020, has been in the form of his life to help Napoli top the Serie A table with 41 points and 37 goals in 15 games.
Osimhen has also been nominated as the November Serie A player of the month.
