The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retd.), on Tuesday, joined party members at the Jos Township Stadium to endorse the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, in the 2023 presidential race.
During the event, the president said that the winner of the election will not be denied his mandate in 2023.
The President, Da Jacob Gyang Buba during his visit to Gbong Gwom Jos, reiterated his commitment to ensure that all votes are counted to give party members APC candidates now, when the party decided, asking them to march.
According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, Buhari said: “The winner of the election will not be denied his mandate, regardless of the party he belongs to,” apparently in response to the Campaign Manager. -General, Governor Simon Lalong, who announced his intention to recreate the historic victory of Moshood Abiola in 1993 in 2023, in a campaign that started in the same city 3o years ago. While handing over the APC flag to the candidate, Buhari said the country needed a man like Tinubu, urging the faithful of the party to campaign on the capabilities of the candidate and candidate Shettima and his running mate.
The President once again confirmed that he would be at the forefront of the campaign because he believes in the party.
The President said that it was only the APC that could lead Nigeria to achieve its historic goal, adding that in collaboration with the leadership of the party, the campaign council and its numerous supporters, the goal would be achieved.
The national chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, led other members of the party, including Tinubu, to call on Nigerians to vote for the APC ticket.
