The Nigeria National League has fixed November 15-29 for the NNL Super-4 playoffs for the season ending in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, The PUNCH reports.
Floods that ravaged host state Bayelsa forced the postponement of the Super-4 twice.
The event was originally scheduled for October 16-22, but was rescheduled for October 25-29. However, it still did not hold because of the devastating effect of the flood on the state.
Almost a month after the last delay, the NNL looks ready to make the tournament.
NNL spokesperson Amar Ignis confirmed the date when contacted by our correspondent.
“Yes, November 15-29 at the Sanson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa,” Ignis wrote on WhatsApp when asked about the new date of the event.
Bendel Insurance of Benin, Bayelsa United, Doma United of Gombe and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri are the four teams set to claim the NNL’s ultimate prize in Yenagoa.
All four clubs finished in the top two of the southern and northern leagues, and all have earned promotion to the NPFL for next season.
