    Kogi state in North Central Nigeria has won the World Bank Excellence Awards in three categories.

    The categories are fiscal transparency and accountability; debt sustainability and internal revenue mobilization.

    According to a statement, the significant awards were presented to Kogi State at the Federal Government of Nigeria/World Bank State Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability with Governors/Award Night on Monday in Abuja.

    In a statement signed by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, the World Bank’s Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability program was aimed at promoting the focus and attention of Nigerian states to improve their PFM systems, processes and institutions. .
