Premier League leaders Arsenal have agreed a £12m deal with Chelsea for midfielder Jorginho.
The 31-year-old midfielder plans to sign an 18-month contract, with the option of extending it by one year.
The deal includes a £10m fee plus £2m in add-ons. Jorginho will undergo a medical today in order to seal the deal as quickly as possible before the January transfer deadline.
Jorginho is also said to have agreed personal terms with the North London side, which will see him at the Emirates until June 2024.
The Italian has entered the final six months of his Chelsea contract and the Blues are looking to land Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez’s record signing for the British midfielder.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted on Tuesday morning: “Jorginho to Arsenal, we’re here! Deal agreed for £12m fee, Chelsea agree terms & documents are being prepared.
“On personal terms agreed, a contract until 2024 with another option, Jorginho has already agreed. The first contact came out last night – he was booked at Arsenal today so he can sign/seal the medical.
“Arteta, the key factor because he appreciates Jorginho.”
