The The Confederation of African Football has postponed the group stage draws for the Champions League and the Confederations Cup. PUNCH Sports supplement the reports
The group stage draws for the two inter-club competitions were originally due to take place on Wednesday (today), but the organization announced via its website on Tuesday that the event had been postponed.
“The draw for the Group Stages between CAF clubs has been postponed for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup. The draw was originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2022. The new date and time will be announced in due course. CAF apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this change”, wrote CAF on its website.
By development, he means the Nigeria Professional Football League; Rivers United will wait a while for the scheduled Confederation Cup draw.
Ever since Libya’s Al Nasr climbed the hurdle of Benghazi, the club has been eyeing the money-making phase of the competition.

Rivers United are competing for the second division competition with 15 other clubs.
The teams qualified for the Confederations Cup are: Al Akhdar (Libya), ASFAR Club (Morocco), AS Real Bamako (Mali), ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), ASKO de Cara (Togo), White Mountain (DRC) and Black Devils. Marumo Gallants FC (South Africa), TP Mazembe (DRC), US Monastir (Tunisia), USM Algiers (Algeria), Young Africans (Tanzania).
The CAF Champions League has been played in the Champions League, Al Ahly (Egypt), Al Hilal (Sudan), Al Merrikh SC (Sudan), Atletico Petroleos (Angola), Coton Sport (Cameroon), Horoya (Guinea), JS. Kabylie (Algeria), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Raja CA (Morocco), Simba SC (Tanzania), Vipers SC (Uganda), Wydad AC (Morocco), Zamalek (Egypt), AS Vita Club (DR Congo).
