    Adetiba, Savage, others nominated for Eloy Awards

    A filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba; as well as singer and songwriter Temilade Openiyi aka Tems has been nominated for the 2022 Outstanding Lady of the Year Award.

    The award, now in its 14th year, aims to celebrate women making a difference in various fields of human endeavour. The theme of the next edition is ‘the year of consistency and guts’.

    Along with Bolanle Austen-Peters, Zulumoke Oyibo, Jade Osiberu and Winifred Mena-Ajakpovi, Adetiba was nominated in the film/filmmaker category.

    For its part, Tems was nominated in the music category. Others in that category include Ayra Starr, Waje, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage.

    In the same vein, Adanne Uche, Gina Ehikodi, Olufunmilayo Abodenyi, Omotade Alalade and Ifedayo Agoro were nominated in the Entrepreneurship category.

    The agriculture category includes Ivy Eheduru-Onyejekwe, Ifarm.You Eat, Sowemimo, Watosin Ariyo and Shawana.

    Other award categories include: Social Enterprise, Entrepreneurship, Humanitarian, Content Creator, Photography, Wellness Entrepreneur and On-Air Personality.

    According to a statement sent to Saturday Beats, the awards platform aims to “continue to celebrate and empower women for their achievements, consistency and courage in all sectors and encourage women to support each other”.

    The nominees were chosen by the governing committee of the awards platform, including the founder of the ELOY Awards, Tewa Onasanya; Chairman of Punch Nigeria Limited, Angela Emuwa; founder, YD Limited and ELOY Foundation Trustee, Dr Yetty Ogunnubi; and founder of WorldPr Media Limited, Tayo Afolabi.
