It was all butterflies and roses on Saturday, November 19, as two Nollywood sweethearts, Peggy Ovire and Frederick Leonard, vowed to hold each other for life.
In October, the couple, who have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2015, surprised fans when they announced it. they were getting married.

During the event, the couple were asked to play a game by answering intimate questions about each other such as who crushed first, who asked for the first date and who initiated the first kiss and others.
After the game, the actor, popularly known as Film Lord, got down on one knee to confess his eternal love to his new bride.
Mr Leonard said he had known for a while that she was the one for him, but “the human in him fought hard to deal with it”.
He said that even though they have been together for seven years, in the last 10 years, Peggy is the only person he realized he couldn’t live without.
“As much as we talk about love, we mean fancy things, I like it. You know how I get when you want to go out and go on a date; it’s not like you’re doing anything for me.
“I want you around the house. You’re usually at the bottom monopolizing the TV, and I’m at the top. But knowing you’re down in that house gives me peace,” he said.
The actor explained why he made the decision to marry his fiancée.
“I wasn’t looking for a wife. I was looking for a soul mate and best friend. You’ve been my best friend for a long time. And even when we fight about it, we can’t live without each other, just because we miss each other.
“Baby, I’ll hold your hand even when we fight. I love you. I wasn’t a Film Lord when you met me. But you looked at me and said you were born a star. Keep acting, and keep doing your thing.
“Today, I am a national treasure, but when I look at my side, you must be that woman next to me. You are my everything, and I am happy to call you Mrs. Leonard,” she added.
Patient love
The actor confirmed his words when he met Frederick, that he was not the Film Lord everyone knows him to be.
He also had a message for those who say he’s lucky, noting that he’s been through a lot.
“I have been close to this man. But most importantly, I met a man who says Peggy, I’ll take care of you, be patient. He promised me he would ruin me, and stupid Frederick was ruining me,” he said.
It also encouraged young girls in relationships to be patient with their boyfriends.
“I saw a man who was ready to earn money. I saw a man who was not a woman, most importantly. That’s why I stayed for a long time.
“So to all the ladies out there, if you have a guy you like. You love him, but he has no money; please stop Listen to him. cheer up That’s what I’ve done all these years. I got to a point where I thought Frederick would marry me. I am like Frederick; I’m a nice girl; you are wasting your time,” he added.
The couple had an ongoing thing, leaving fans guessing about the real situation.
Their relationship dates back to 2015, when Mr Leonard confirmed they were dating.
In 2017, Ms. Ovire denied any romantic affiliation with the actor.
In an interview, the former beauty queen said that Mr. Leonard was the friend who encouraged her.
