WACOT Rice Limited, a member of the Tropical General Investments Group, has signed a four-year sponsorship agreement with the Kebbi Beach Soccer Association.

Kebbi Beach Club (Kebbi Fishers), owned by the Kebbi Beach Soccer Association, is one of the leading beach soccer clubs in Africa.

WACOT Rice’s sponsorship agreement as an official Nutrition Partner is a boost to the growth of beach soccer and ultimately the development of Nigerian youths, WACOT Rice said.

Last year, WACOT Rice sponsored Kebbi Fishers in the World Winners Cup in Antalya, Turkey, organized by Beach Soccer Worldwide, the global governing body responsible for Beach Soccer under FIFA.

Commenting on the partnership, WACOT Rice President Farouk Gumel said: “In our operations, we always ensure that we create avenues for Nigerian youths to thrive. Kebbi Beach Soccer Association, through Kebbi Fishers, has grown and received accolades across the continent. Kebbi put have on the map. We are incredibly proud of them and remain committed to helping them grow.”

Also, the President of Kebbi Beach Soccer Association, Mahmud Hadejia, commended WACOT Rice and the TGI Group for their support of Kebbi Fishers and their commitment to the development of the sport in Nigeria.

Hadejia, who is also the African Beach Soccer Union and Nigeria Beach Soccer League coordinator, said beach soccer in the country received another boost with the sponsorship of WACOT Rice.
