A real estate investor based in the United States, Toyin Momodu, has appealed to the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to release his property at SunnyField, Oko-Afo community in the Badagry area of the state.
PUNCH Metro disclosed that Momodu purchased 2200 square meters of land from the state government in 2012 and obtained a Certificate of Occupancy from the Land Office of the Governor’s Office for the property.
He explained that after he bought the land, it was taken over by miscreants, adding that his efforts to seek help from the state government to recover his property failed.
Speaking to our correspondent on Sunday, Momodu said his lawyer, MA Sodipo, petitioned Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu about the development but did not receive a response.
The petition read in part: “We appeal to Your Excellency to use your good office to remove all impediments and obstacles preventing our client from acquiring physical possession and we also request Your Excellency to place him in immediate physical possession.
“We fervently believe that your Excellency will without delay welcome our humble request with thanks in anticipation of a partnership that will bring a smile to our client’s face.”
