Denmark opened their World Cup campaign on Tuesday with a 0-0 draw against Tunisia in Group D at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

With 62% of the ball possession, Denmark were the better side overall, although it was a balanced game. Tunisia, who had 13 shots to Denmark’s 11, held their own and deserved a draw.

The best chance of the game fell to Danish substitute Cornelius, who squandered a golden chance to win the game for his side.

Christian Eriksen started his first match at a major tournament since collapsing on the pitch at last year’s European Championship, but was unable to provide the spark his side needed.
