Tiwa Savage is a British-Nigerian female musician and songwriter. She started her music career as a backup for British singer, George Michael and American singer, Mary J. Blige. After she participated in the UK edition of The X Factor and graduated from Berklee College of Music, Tiwa Savage signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009. Tiwatope Savage popularly known as Tiwa Savage or Tiwa was born on the 5th of February, 1980 in Isale Eko, Lagos State, Nigeria. When Tiwa was 11 years old, her family relocated to London, there she completed her secondary school education. While attending secondary school, Tiwa Savage was a trombone player for her school’s orchestra band.
Tiwa Savage graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Kent, afterwards, she started working at The Royal Bank of Scotland.
