French side Stade de Reim are said to be interested in signing Nigeria international and Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.
According to soccer transfer expert Luca Bendoni, Uzoho is on the list as a possible replacement for Reim goalkeeper Patrick Pentz, who could move to MLS side Colorado Rapids.
“Understand Stade de Reims’ Patrick Pentz is ‘closer’ to completing MLS move according to @UnionArdennais. Pentz is a target for Colorado Rapids – Francis Uzoho was also on the list, and now Reims is among the clubs eyeing him,” Bendoni tweeted .
Bendoni previously reported that MLS Colorado Rapids and French Ligue 1 side Toulouse were interested in signing the Nigerian.
The 24-year-old’s contract with Omonia expires at the end of this season and the player will be open to potential transfer options.
The former Deportivo La Coruña goalkeeper has been in fine form for the Cypriot side in the 2022/23 season and has made 15 league appearances with eight clean sheets in the Cypriot First Division.
Nicosia are fifth in the Cyprus premier league with 34 points from 20 games and lost 2-1 to Nea Salamis at Ammochostos Stadium on Sunday.
Uzoho made headlines last season against Manchester United in the Europa League group stage match at Old Trafford where he won the man of the match award despite Omonia losing 1-0.
