Frank’s manager, Justine Hunt, made the announcement on Instagram on Sunday, according to the BBC, which confirmed the actor’s death on Saturday. The cause of the actor’s death is still unknown.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers premiered in 1993 on Fox Kids and initially aired for three years.
Walter Jones, one of Frank’s show co-stars, wrote on Instagram: “I can’t believe it… RIP Jason David Frank. My heart is saddened by the loss of another member of our special family.”
Frank’s death comes two decades after that of co-star Thuy Trang, who died in 2001 aged 27 from injuries sustained in a car crash.
Frank’s character was the villain, the Green Ranger, in the first season of the show, but he later became good and eventually became the White Ranger.
