Burna Boy, Times and Met Gala

Nigerian singers Burna Boy and Tems made their debut at the 2023 Met Gala, one of the entertainment scene’s biggest fashion and fundraising events.

The event, which takes place every first Monday in May, had a 2023 theme: “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” in honor of the late designer, who died in 2019.

While Burna Boy wore a Burberry Blue and Black suit, Tems wore a black and white dress.

  • Editor’s Note
In our February 19, 2023 publication, “Woman kills herself over failure to clear N70,000 loan”, we reported that a middle-aged woman, popularly known as Mama Dada, set herself on fire because of her disability. He returned the N70,000 loan he took from a LAPO microfinance bank. We have since discovered that the microfinance bank mentioned in the story was not LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited. We apologize to the LAPO Group for the error in identifying the name of the aforementioned microfinance bank from which the deceased took the loan. The confusion on behalf of MFB is not intentional.
