Following speculation that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has moved away from Napoli, Italian pundit Fabio Santini says it will cost the potential club €120m to sign the Nigerian striker.
Speaking to Italian publication Il Mattino recently, the Nigerian striker recently suggested that he could leave Napoli in the summer amid interest from Manchester United and several other English clubs.
“Osimhen? According to my data, whoever wants the blue center forward will have to pay a very significant amount to get De Laurentiis out of Napoli. The blue club has set a very high price. “Victor’s budget is around 100 million euros.” Santini said, as reported by Area Napoli,
Napoli rejected a €100m bid from Newcastle in January 2021, but the Magpies are still interested in the Nigeria international and so are Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 23-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper has scored 38 goals in 76 games for the Parthenopeans since 2020.
Despite missing a number of games through injury, Osimhen has been fantastic for the Partenopei this season and has established himself as a prolific centre-forward, scoring ten goals and providing three assists in 14 games in all competitions this season.
The former Lille star joined the Serie A leaders in 2020 in a €75m deal and has scored 10 goals in 14 games in all competitions this season and his contract expires in June 2025.
Napoli is the only unbeaten team in Serie A, winning 13 games, drawing two and leading the standings with 41 points. They started the season on January 4, in the away match at Inter.
