Nigerian entrepreneur Olakunle Churchill and Gambia-born Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer are celebrating their third year of marriage.
The couple took to their Instagram pages on Friday to share stunning black-and-white images to celebrate their third wedding anniversary.
In a series of posts on Instagram, the businessman wrote several notes to confirm his love for Meure.
“To my wife, I could write about a million things you do that make my heart flutter, but I still couldn’t write them all because they are endless,” he wrote.
In another message, Churchill said his wife had made his life “exciting, fascinating and perpetually youthful”.
“Every day, you show me that age doesn’t matter where there is true love and it feels like I’m reliving my younger days and this makes up for all the lost time,” she said.
The actress also posted a message in which she described Churchill as “the king of my heart” along with a long caption.
In the message, Meurer explained that contrary to the idea that love is blind, he believes that “love is seeing and accepting everything.”
“Love is accepting bad habits and habits and working around them,” he wrote. “Love is acknowledging all your fears and insecurities and knowing your role is to comfort them. Relationships don’t last because they’re going to last.
“Relationships last a long time because both people have made the choice to keep, fight and work. Thank you @olakunlechurchill for making this choice with me.”
She also expressed her gratitude to her husband for choosing to stay, despite the “struggles and bumps along the way.”
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE KING OF MY HEART,” she continued. “Thank you for understanding the meaning of “LOVE” We may have fights and bumps along the way but the important thing is to always have each other. No matter how many times we fight in a day, the love we share is unmatched.
“A strong marriage rarely has two strong people at the same time. Husband and wife alternately strong with each other. Thank you for being strong for me. Thanks for loving me and fighting with me too Lol. Thank you for being a good father and husband. We may not have everything together but together we have everything. I LOVE YOU BABE @olakunlechurchill.”
In 2021, Olakunle confirmed that the two lovebirds had tied the knot, much to the surprise of many.
Their marriage was blessed with a son, Omoniyi, in 2021.
