Nigerian Jollof Queen attempts Guinness World Record for longest cook-a-thon

Nigerian Jollof Queen, Hilda Baci The Guinness World Record is being attempted for the longest cook-a-thon.

The multi-talented TV producer and actress announced that the four-day cooking show will begin from May 11 to May 14.

The Cook-a-thon (Cooking Marathon) is an attempt by Hilda, who has showcased her cooking skills on several Television Cook shows and represented Nigeria in the 2021 Jollof Faceoff Competition, emerging as the winner.

The event, held at Amore Gardens, Lekki, would showcase Hilda’s cooking skills using a variety of local and intercontinental recipes to put Nigeria on the global culinary map.

Hilda, CEO of “My Food by Hilda”, a fast food restaurant in Lekki, at a press conference in Lagos, reiterated the essence of the cook-a-thon as an inspiration platform for the youth.

”The goal of the Cook-a-thon is to inspire every young girl with the opportunity to achieve her dreams. That’s why I set an example with this essay. The victory of the cook-a-thon is a victory for young women across the continent in their ability to break barriers and make an impact,” she told PREMIUM TIMES.

The event, which will test Hilda’s mettle and mettle as a chef, aims to inspire and instill skill in young chefs.

In preparation for the cook-a-thon, Hilda said she ran a successful 24-hour race from April 12-13.

Hilda has also revealed that she has met with a fitness trainer and nutritionist to lose weight and adjust her diet.

He and his team boast of having designed more than 100 recipes to be served at the event, which is open to the public by registration.

The Cook-a-thon is a title sponsored by GB Food; Gino tomato paste, Ginomax and Bama. Other sponsors include Woodscope, Amore Gardens, Vendease, AfriGlobal, Uber, Arla Foods, CWAY, Filmhouse, ORIKI and PowerOil.

Uber will offer discounts to those who participate in the event. Hilda is also collaborating with Slum2school and Festus Fajemilo Foundation, two Non-Governmental Organizations, to bring underprivileged children to the event and encourage them to fulfill their dreams.
