Welcome to the 2022 edition of the annual National Health Interview, a high-level platform hosted by the organization. Center for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) In partnership with PREMIUM TIMES to advance conversations on major health issues in Nigeria and Africa at large.
The 2022 edition has the following theme: “Financing of Basic Health Care; Role of State and Non-State Actors” is being held today (Tuesday) in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
The event is expected to bring together policy makers and experts to discuss and share experiences on key issues in the primary health care sub-sector, such as financing, and human resources for health and insurance.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire, Executive Secretary of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Faisal Shuaib are other important personalities who will attend the event.
Other attendees include health professionals and advocates, political, religious and traditional leaders.

The media will also play a key role in the event which aims to address the challenges facing the country’s health services.
