Bad Boy Timz’s hypeman and host of the event, Sadiq Adebimp, aka Sceed Barms, has explained how he combines his different roles, stating that Afrobeat will attract more global attention and support.
Sceed Barms has worked as a hypeman for Bad Boy Timz for three years, starting with organizing school parties and friends’ birthday parties and has organized over 200 events.
According to him, “The Nigerian music industry is evolving at a very fast pace and it is evident in the attention Afrobeat is getting right now.”
It has organized events including corporate dinners, summits, conferences, weddings, birthdays, concerts and year-end parties.
Recounting his three years of experience as an event host/team, Sceed Barms said, “Most event planners choose me because I can organize events with proper coordination and smoothly transition them into the life of the party if the after-party starts with a melodious atmosphere. The need arises, so wedding- most organizers book me for the reception and after party.
“I’m currently the official hypeman of BADBOYTIMZ, and I’ve worked with the legendary 2Baba, 9ice, Mayorkun, Bella Shmurda, Ayra Starr, Zinoleesky, BNXN fka Buju and Mohbad, among others. I’ve also worked with DJs Spinall, Neptune, 4Kerty and the like .
“Event organizers from different parts of the country verify the quality and level of professionalism of my services. I have organized events for senior government officials such as the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Professor Ibrahim Gambari. I have also worked for the senator representing Ilorin Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha; real estate mogul and billionaire, Dr. Sijibomi Ogundele, among others. I have worked with organizations such as Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO Plc), for the GTCrea8 college tour; Pal pensions and Infinix Nigeria among other prominent multinationals,” he said.
Adebimp also mentioned some of the awards and places he has won as an entertainment mogul.

The Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Ilorin has been making music and recording songs together with Bad Boy Timz before taking on his current role.
He has participated in the Bad Boy Timz University tour, the Live Spot X Festival with Wizkid, the Omo Better concert and the Hennessy Tour, among others.
Speaking about his relationship with crooner Faya, Sceed Barms said, “I met Bad Boy Timz through my best friend and high school classmate Kola. Kola is his older brother. I started doing music in 2010. Timz’s father is a musician so , he (Timz) has always wanted to make music and we clicked and started going to the studio together and recording songs.
“In 2020 I started the challenge he did for the MJ song for the hypemen. I won the challenge and Bad Boy Timz chose me to be his official hypeman.”
Deepening Afrobeat’s influence globally, he stated, “International collaborations have helped Afrobeat and we are now one year on the charts, which is a big thing for the Nigerian music industry.
“Nigerian artistes like Tems, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Femi Kuti have been nominated several times for the biggest music awards in the world and three of them have won. This is just the beginning as more Afrobeats artists are gaining international recognition. Davido performed at the World Cup final, Burna Boy will perform at the Champions League final, he also performed at the NBA allstar games, the world is paying attention to us and they want to hear more from Afrobeats artistes,” Adebimp said.
