Manchester United has announced a contract Cristiano Ronaldo it’s over with each other.
The club announced this in an official statement released on Tuesday
“Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Manchester United by mutual consent with immediate effect,” read the club’s statement.
“The club is grateful to him for his immense contribution over two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future. Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together for success on the field.”
Many expected the wrong thing to come after Ronaldo’s controversial 90-minute interview with Piers Morgan.
The Portuguese star accused Manchester United and coach Erik Ten Hag of betrayal and disrespect.
United permanently removed pictures of Ronaldo from Old Trafford after that interview and later promised to take an official position, which they have now done.
With United failing to qualify from the Champions League, Ronaldo made no secret of his desire to leave Old Trafford, but was unable to force a move in January.

Failing to leave in January, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been reduced to a minor player for United and has just three goals this season.

There have been rumors that Ronaldo intends to join some big clubs after the World Cup, but such reports have not been verified.
Ronaldo, who is preparing to play for Portugal in his fifth World Cup, has released a statement.
“Following discussions with Manchester United we have agreed to an early termination of our contract,” a statement from the forward said.
“I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never change. However, I think the time is right to look for a new challenge.
“I wish the team every success for the end of the season and for the future.”
