Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman has recovered from a fever and is back in full training at Atalanta and could feature against Real Betis in their mid-season friendly on December 23.
The Nigeria international has been an inspiration and has been rated as one of Atlanta’s best players since arriving from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been in fine form for Bergamasca with seven goals and two assists in 15 Serie A games.
The Nigerian attacker continued his impressive display for Atalanta since his return to action in the mid-season friendlies. He scored in Eintracht’s penalty kick.
But he missed the second game against Nice and lost 3-0 due to his illness.
“De Roon and Koopmeiners are back and training after the World Cup, while Pasalic will arrive after Christmas. Lookman has been training and has recovered from the fever,” reported Italian media Sosfanta.
Action returns to Serie A on January 4 and Lookman will aim to continue his good form in the second half of the season and help Atlanta, who sit sixth in the Serie A table today, finish in the top four.
