American rapper Kanye West countered his former business manager she alleged that the rapper failed to pay her a monthly fee of $300,000.

The embattled rapper argued that he is not responsible for paying 18 months of fees — totaling $5.4 million — to the head of international accounting firm TSJ, Thomas St. John, because he lost sleep when he signed a contract. A lawyer’s help in March 2022, TMZ reports.
West’s former business manager only worked for three months despite a clause in his contract with the rapper that required him to be paid for 18 months, until November 2023.
St. John claimed in a $4.5 million lawsuit filed in October that when West confronted him about the unpaid retainer fee, the rapper became “heated and aggressive” and began cursing, Mail Online the reports
In the counterclaim, West, who changed her name to Ye, stated that she was “sleep deprived, stressed, nervous and under duress” when she hired San Juan to join her. Divorce with reality star Kim Kardashian.
He asked the judge to cut the contract and pay San Juan the $900,000 he received.
He, however, lost out on the forgotten contract, leaving his employer with no option to decide to pay the former director for a year and a half.
In October, the San Juan lawsuit said: “He screamed at Mr. San Juan and made it clear that he didn’t want to work anymore (San Juan.)
“When faced with the 18-month commitment he had just made, Mr. West said the words: ‘The 18-month period was bulls***’ and ‘You’re crazy for thinking I could stick to that. . . .’
Mail Online Court documents obtained indicated that St. That John obtained an 18-month contract with West to “ensure that the defendants would not walk away from the business relationship.”
