Super Eagles and Atalanta striker, Ademola Lookman, has expressed optimism that Nigeria will be chosen at international level over England’s Three Lions.
The 25-year-old attacker was born in Wandsworth, south-west London, to Nigerian parents.
Although, he represented England at youth level before switching his allegiance to Nigeria FIFA approval to play in Nigeria on February 10, 2022.
In an interview with Italian news platform L’Eco di Bergamo, Lookman insisted that he is happy with his decision to represent the three-time African champions.
“I don’t regret it, I made the right decision. This is my career,” he said.
“I always want to play for Nigeria and I am proud of it. I was born in England, but my family is from Nigeria and I have a strong connection with both countries.’
Lookman represented the country at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations and made six appearances for the Super Eagles with a goal to his name.
