Hairstylist Usman beat 11 other finalists after three shows in cultural, official and beach wear.
The event took place on Sunday night in Lekki, Lagos State.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Usman, an indigene of Kogi State but born in Cross River, is also a makeup artist.
He was crowned by Mr. Ajewole Odunayo Nigeria.
Mr. Akwa Ibom, John Goodnews, a graduate of Mass Communication, came second and Mr. Nigeria has become Global.
Nigeria International, the position of Mr. Tourism was secured by Mr. Abia, Collins Okere, a student and interior designer.
Usman, 25, became emotional as soon as the winner was announced, expressing his joy at his feat.
“I feel so blessed, so happy and uplifted. I know I have a lot to meet with the new position of Mr. Nigeria International.
“I am going to push for the empowerment of our youth, the less privileged and the unemployed,” he said.
Brendance and Crusader Ltd. according to the organizer, the competition is touching lives, promoting peace and boosting African tourism.
“The 2023 Mr. Nigeria International single girl is made to promote culture, tourism and intelligence.
“We decided to separate the two competitions that had existed for 11 years, to give more concentration and attention.
“Dr. Brenden Nsikak said, “Dr. Brenden Nsikak, we decided to promote culture in the nation and promote culture among the youth.
Nsika said that more than 320 young people submitted to the 11th edition of the competition, with the theme: ‘Evolution’.
He said 30 applicants qualified for the competition and 12 finalists were selected through public voting.
He said Usman would go home with N1.5 million, the first and second runners up would represent Nigeria internationally and would have consolation prizes.
Nsika said IN that the competition had a habit of selecting the most credible and valuable contestants.
IN announced that some of the judges of the competition are Ada Karl, film producer and actress; Adesola Oshosanya, an educator; Nkiru Umeh, actor; and Zak Francis, film director.
The presentation was mixed: Nigerian gentlemen and ladies.
This 11th edition is a maiden singles competition.
