When you come across the word “fashion”, what activity comes to mind? For a few young Nigerians, it is a recent celebration GTCO Fashion Weekend in style
“Trendsetters” is not enough to describe the participants of this year’s edition of GTCO Fashion Weekend, from Saturday, November 12 to Sunday.
The event was filled with glitz and glamour, featuring exclusive masterclasses, showcasing unique runway collections, promoting diverse vendors and celebrating ultra-modern approaches to street style.

People seemed to embrace the famous saying “Fashion fades, but style is eternal” as they showed up with the sole purpose of making a mark through avant-garde designs, dramatic stances, gender-nonconforming outfits. and the beautiful looks that live in our minds for free.

Weird boots
What’s street style without combat boots or thigh high boots? Homes were treated almost as taboo, male and female guests were placed in different boot designs. Everyone seems to have received the launch notice.

Layers layers
Items like blazers and jackets were a must-have and must-have at the event. Each outfit had layers. That is, in the sense that one item of clothing was worn with another item of clothing. For example, a denim jacket is worn over a v-neck shirt.
Attendees redefined layering when they started wearing not just one layer of clothing, but two or more. The point is that jackets, fur coats and cardigans were draped or draped over the guests’ shoulders.

Bright Colors knows best
Move to the back of the room; there is black and other neutral colors! All the outfits showed the party life syndrome, as they radiated with color.

Men also made a bold choice by ditching neutral colors and opting for pink, red and sky blue, among many others.

dress up
The pandemic may no longer be a serious problem, but that doesn’t mean some people aren’t taking preventative measures and looking good. From full face masks to halfway through, it was hard to spot a good number of people.

The shadow of everything
The first rule of thumb for going to a fashion show: never leave the house without sunglasses. Attendees knew this rule, as many wore sunglasses such as aviators, shields, round, oval and cat-eyes.

Bring your wallets
Fashion shows aren’t as stress-free as you might think, that’s why fashionistas rely on wallets to carry personal items. Regardless of the color or style, almost everyone, including men, had a bag.

It’s raining hats
That settles it; hats are officially back this season. And we are living every second. This accessory adds an overall attractive (or “huh”) effect to outfits.
