Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of five new permanent secretaries in the state civil service.
This was received by the chief press secretary of the governor, Kunle Somorin, on Friday in Abeokuta.
Somorin said the new appointments will fill existing positions in the civil service.
According to him, seniority, merit, professionalism and inclusiveness were considered for the appointment of new permanent secretaries.
The CPS said the governor relied on the provision of Section 208 (c) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) for the appointments.
He listed the new permanent secretaries as Sakirudeen Salaam, Adesoji Adewuyi, Hammed Ojo, Adesina Towolawi and Dr. Olayinka Elemide.
Somorin said the governor, while congratulating the appointees, urged them to face the challenges of their positions and apply themselves wholeheartedly to his administration’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda.
