A singer and evangelist, Kas Shobayo, aka Kas Beats, believes that God is not in some big churches in Nigeria.
He said Sunday wave, “I don’t care about criticism; I prefer to focus on good energies. People will always talk. In fact, if people aren’t talking about one, then no one is. One thing about gospel ministry is that it must be “called.” One does not wake up one day and decide to be a pastor. If God really calls someone, there is a big difference. He can enter a church and be able to discern whether God is there or not. I have been to some big churches in Nigeria and I have found that God is not there. They are just business centers. If God does not call, it is dangerous to go to the ministry.’
The UK based singer cum evangelist also stated that he does not collect tithes and offerings when he preaches. He said, “Whenever I preach, I don’t collect tithes and offerings. When God called me, He didn’t tell me to take money from people. There is a way that God gives me money, so I do more crusades and seminars. Whenever I organize crusades and seminars, I give people food and other things instead of collecting money from them.’
