Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United go into the World Cup break on top after beating Fulham 2-1 in the last minute at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Similar to United’s defeat against their neighbors last week, Marco Silva’s side were silenced by Garnacho’s last-gasp finish in the last minute of the game.
Christian Eriksen scored his first United goal in the 14th minute to give Ten Hag’s side the lead, but former United player Daniel James equalized for London with a fine strike in the 61st minute.
However, the visitors had the last laugh as Eriksen beat Garnacho to extend United’s record 122-match league unbeaten run as they led at half-time.
with that Cristiano Ronaldo not named in the starting line-up for the match, Anthony Martial started in the 9th position. Bernd Leno denied the Frenchman who was looking for his first EPL goal since his return from injury in the 50th minute.
Garnacho came on for Anthony Martial in the 72nd minute and was an inspired substitute, scoring in the third minute of added time.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa continued their climb up the EPL table under their new manager, Unai Emery, as they recorded their second straight league win with a 2-1 win over Brighton.
Brighton grabbed Alexis Mac Allister after 48 seconds, but Danny Ings equalized for the Villains in the 20th minute with a spot-kick, and it stayed that way until the interval.
However, Brighton were punished for a poor choice in front of goal as Danny Ings completed the brace in the 54th minute.
