Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi has once again made the country proud with a historic 2023 Oscar nomination for her songwriting contribution to ‘Lift Me Up’, one of the soundtracks for Marvel’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
Tems co-wrote “Lift Me Up” with global singer Rihanna; music producer, Ludwig Göransson; and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.
The full list of nominations was released on Tuesday with the multi-genre sci-fi smash, “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” leading the list with 11 nominations.
Then the dark Irish comedy, “The Banshees of Inisherin,” and the First World War film, “All Quiet on the Western Front,” at nine.
