Olivier Giroud scored twice as World Cup holders France bounced back from going behind to thrash Australia 4-1 in their first leg in Qatar on Tuesday.
Veteran striker Giroud equaled Thierry Henry’s all-time record for France with 51 goals and Adrien Rabiot and Kylian Mbappe also scored after Australia took a surprise ninth-minute lead through Craig Goodwin.
