The The BusyBee Group, during the week, recognized the contributions and hard work of a number of personalities in the event planning business.
The program was tagged, BusyBee Excellence Awardsguests from different parts of the country took part.
On the subject of the awards, the group’s managing director, Bisi Sotunde, stated that there is a need for someone to step up and provide leadership in an industry that has been undervalued for several years. He added: “This industry has provided hundreds of thousands of jobs, and is a very important sub-sector in the entertainment and tourism industries.”
He explained that the awards were in two categories: ‘Well-Watered Garden Tribe’ and industry recognition awards.
According to him, Well Watered Garden Tribe It was classified into eight segments, viz Young Event Professional of the Year, Event Professional of the Year, Most Improved Business, Most Skilled Member, Most Caring Member, Active Member, Most Influential Personality of the Year, and Member of the Year.
On the other hand, the industry recognition awards were as follows Industry icon of the year, and Outstanding Leadership Award. In this category, Bisola appeared as Borha Industry icon of the yearwhile Olajumoke Oriloye of Manifold Events and Rentals won Recognition of Excellence Award of the year
Other awardees included Stella Naiya (Most Influential Personality of the Year), Feyikemi Welsing (Most Active Member of the Year), Quality DJ Ralph (Most Improved Business), Nneoma Jide-Ebedendu (Emerging Event Professional) and Ann Onwuka. (Member with maximum resources).
