Famous actor Hanks Anuku he has assured Nigerians that he is fine and can contest for the premier office in Nigeria.
The controversial actor was reacting viral videos without taking care of himself and through the streets of Asaba and Benin City.
The actor also said that there was nothing wrong and that he was doing well.
Speaking exclusively to PREMIUM TIMES on Friday, the actress said she is not what people think.
“I will never be who they say I am because I am more significant than that. I am currently in Asaba, and I am fine.
“I am alive, healthy, strong, blessed and rich. I will run as president of Nigeria,” he said.
When asked which political party he would join, his close associate Nonso Ofole said, “We will announce that in due course in the relevant dispensation. For now, we are rooting for Peter Obi’s presidency.”
The actor cannot, however, compete for the presidency because the period for the parties to choose candidates in this dispensation has expired.
In a clip he posted on social media, the actor also reacted to the rumors that he has mental health problems.

He cursed the critics and the said ones were spreading adverse reports about him, asking him to drop it.
He said, “Stop writing nonsense about me and leave me alone. If you want to act in a movie, if you need help, you can come to me.
“I have been there for a time, and anyone who writes using those images on stage to try to tarnish my image, may the Holy Spirit forgive me. We will meet soon.
His friend, Mr. Ofole, also confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the actor.
“I’ve known him for over 15 years, and I can confirm that Hanks is fine. He is married with children. He is a well organized person. Sometimes he gets into a character, whether he’s an actor or not, and that confuses people,” he said.
AGN has warned
Meanwhile, the Actors Guild of Nigeria, during the week, said the same investigating Health status of famous Nollywood actress.
In an interview with PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday, the President of the Actors Guild, Emeka Rollas, said his team was “on top of the situation”.
The president of the AGN also warned his colleagues, saying that they had used every opportunity to “pursue the force of arrest”, calling it very unfortunate.
According to him, when an actor has a problem, the solution is not always to go to social media to attract attention.
“I don’t know why some people in the entertainment industry feel entitled. These people we are talking about also have families. We have umunna in everyday Igbo language.
“There is no one on earth who does not have a family. Let the family react. The family will tell you if they need help or not,” he said.
He also stated that the confraternity has a Board of Trustees led by veteran actor Joke Sylva. He called on stakeholders and citizens to request the AGN trust fund, so that when issues like this arise, they do not have to approach the citizens for help.
Background
The 62-year-old actor is the elder brother of Miss Nigeria 1986 Rita Anuku, who died in 2015.
He dominated Nollywood in the late 1990s until 2014 when he relocated to Ghana.
The former governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, appointed him Special Adviser on Tourism and Recreation in 2010, a role he held for a short time. This was after the late Prophet TB Joshua freed him from alcoholism and mental illness. After the incident he moved to Ghana.
