Okekayode Ashiru, a budding singer called Kashcoming, has said his newly released Extended Play album will showcase his “elegant artistry”.
As the artist has stated, his debut EP will ‘consolidate his identity as a hit maker’.
He said Saturday Beats“I can’t wait to share this album with my fans. The seven-track project will almost serve as a rubber stamp for my fine art.”
Speaking about some of the songs on the album, the singer said: “In ‘Miracle’, I confess my fidelity to my lover; On ‘Falling’, however, I build a solid bridge to my desires, conveying my most sincere intentions to my lover over an uplifting pop beat.
“Although the album is built on emotions, I am also a man of melody and melodrama. I ride the Amapiano wave in two ways: ‘How Low’ and ‘Kosa’. In the former, I question my lover’s “spine of courage” as I wonder how low he can go on the dance floor, while in the latter, I’m just interested in getting the audience to dance.
“On ‘Touch’, I’m almost boastful as I proclaim that I have my city on lock while featured artist Tarm revels in an Afro-swing verse.
“Meanwhile, ‘Shomawa’ resonates a lot, and I think it will be a favorite of many people. The EP also features the remix of ‘Saloo’, in which I featured Bnx.’
Producers who worked on the project include Dibs, Semzi, Crackermallo, Kapentar, LilGee and Nampiiey.
