Talent manager and digital media expert, Olanrewaju Alaka aka LaerryBlue has said talented entertainers will struggle to make the most of their careers if they don’t have good talent managers.
in an interview Sunday wave, said, “Without a good talent manager, even the most talented and dedicated artists will struggle to succeed in the entertainment industry. Talented artists need someone to help them navigate the complex web of the industry, and that’s where talent managers come in. Being talented can’t take one to the top.” “A good manager who understands the business will take someone by the hand and show them how things work.”
LaerryBlue, who is the former manager of popular cross dresser James Brown, revealed that working with the latter was a unique experience and taught him a lot about the Nigerian entertainment industry. He said: “I got a lot of experience working with James Brown. I learned authenticity, and telling the right narratives, among other things. Celebrities should be true to themselves and not try to conform to society’s norms or expectations.”
