Geroge Wade, former lover of Nollywood actress Empress Njamah has been arrested in Liberia.
The actress made the announcement via her Instagram stories on Monday, where she shared a video of Wade being led away in handcuffs.
“Our God is not sleeping,” read the caption, “@empressnjamah’s blackmailer finally caught in Liberia.”
Empress has previously accused Wade of domestic abuse and blackmail after their relationship soured.
In a live stream shared via her business page last December, the actress revealed that the engagement video posted on her personal page earlier this month was done under duress. She also revealed that Wade had cheated, beaten and held her hostage before finally escaping.
“It broke me, it ended everything. This person I’m telling you about got a ring and forced me to make a video because he has access to my page that he posted on my page. He changed every password, every email I have, everything I have, every phone, my iCloud, everything, I don’t have access to anything, I don’t care.
“I’m alive to tell the story, that night I was able to run, I ran into the street, without realizing who or how, I fell into a gutter. I could see a mallam asking for a phone. I called my brother and he picked me up from the hospital, and the next morning he took me home,” he said in the video.
Even after she escaped, Wade continued to threaten the actress. She eventually leaked her nude photos and videos through a WhatsApp group chat where she added blogs and various people.
