On Monday, Nollywood actress Empress Njamah confirmed the arrest of her ex-fiancé, Nicholas Jack Davis, in his native Liberia.
In December 2022, the Nollywood actress said her ex-lover assaulted her and blackmailed her with nude videos he shared with her.
Mrs. Njamah, reacting to a video about her engagement, said she met her ex-lover when she lost her good friend Ada Ameh and was in the wrong place.
She described the relationship as going well and had no idea she was cheating until her ex-lover got hold of the nude videos.
Late Monday, a Liberian police video of Davis’ arrest surfaced online.
In a public address, the Liberian police confirmed the arrest of Davis, following complaints from several women who were victims of his scams.
“Several complaints were filed or brought to our attention against Nicholas Jack Davis, 39, of which Davis is suspected of having victimized more than 20 women. As a result, Nicholas Jack Davis is absconding with his personal effects, including phones, bags, gold and other expensive materials,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said Davis was arrested on a beach in Liberia following the latest allegations against him.

He said: “We started a strong operation to trace his whereabouts, and his operation was successful last night where he was caught in Miami Beach, Paynesville, Liberia, where he was trying or attempting to victimize other women.”
“He was arrested yesterday between 21:00 and 22:00 and was taken to the Central Headquarters and is being investigated,” he added.
The spokesperson also revealed that they received information about Davis’s operations in Nigeria with the scam of Nollywood actress Empress Njamah.
“There was initial information on suspect Davis that similar operations were being conducted in Nigeria where a female actress was the victim of his fraudulent operation. Suspect Davis informed our investigators that he spent about 17 months in Nigeria before committing the act against the Nigerian female actress.
The story so far
The actress revealed that when Davis came to Nigeria she said she stole all her belongings, including phones, credit cards and clothes. The need for lawyers ran into trouble, which brought in millions of naira to donate money.
The 42-year-old actress also revealed that the suspect had other victims, including her colleagues in the industry.

She said: “He failed me, he ended everything. I realized that he also had a lot of videos of other people. I saw most of my colleagues. I saw their chats and everything, and I know that these people could not talk because they were scared.”

According to the actress, Davis fled with her car, international passport, cash, iPad, AirPods and two high-value bags.
He also accused her of trespassing his Instagram pagechanging all his passwords and logging out of all his email, phone and iCloud.
Update: The Empress celebrates her victory
In a new post on Tuesday, the Nollywood actress rejoiced at the news that her blackmailer had been nabbed.
He shared a photo of a female police officer with a name badge – Halima Iliyasu.
Boldly speaking that a child of grace will never be ashamed, the Empress declared that no one should ever underestimate the power of prayer.
He also told hypocrites that women are powerful beings who can change narratives.
Thanking the women who were victimized by Davis and decided to speak out, she wrote: “Walk with your head held high; without sin he cast the first stone. To all the victims, I encourage you to speak; you are all heroes”.
Although he lost a lot, he said that he is happy to be alive and that he derives joy from giving freedom to others.
