Davido’s planned comeback concert at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) on Sunday night was in the books.
It was an unforgettable time for his fans, who had been off the radar for five months, longing for a live performance of their favorites and new music.
At the concert, Davido and his team raised what could pass for the biggest stages in Africa for the musical event. The stage was a replica of the national theatre, one of Nigeria’s landmark buildings
The Afrobeats superstar performed songs from his album and other songs from his extensive hit collection. He was joined by other Nigerian artists including Mayokun, Asake, Iyanya and Spyro to name a few.
30BG 001 was also joined by British rapper Tion Wayne who was among the night’s notable performances.
As usual, the concert packed a lot of cute and exciting moments, and the fans screamed at the top of their lungs.
Here are some highlights from the event.
Governor Ademola Adeleke
Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, showed up for his nephew at the event.
The dancing senator who is popular with the people was accompanied by his aides and fans who said they were from Osun state greeted him singing ‘our governor’.
It was his nephew-Davido who previously won in 2022.
Hosts-High, Mr. Macaronii
They were treated to a display of energetic dance moves dedicated to media personality “Buga” and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori popularly known as Kie Kie and comic actor and activist Debo Adebowale and “Buga” popularly known as Mr Macaroni, as you progress. to get the crowd up in a dancing frenzy
Ecool
Popular Disc Jockey, Ecool took to the stage to perform his famous hit with Davido ‘Ada’. In ‘Ada’ released in 2018, he wowed the crowd.
Spyro
Coming off one of the hottest hits of 2023, Davido gave Spyro the stage to perform ‘Who is your guy’.
Even Spyro already had a large crowd screaming the lyrics to the song at the top of their lungs.
Softmadeit (Dance moves)
Popular Nigerian Tiktoker, Jerry Chuks aka SoftMadeit wowed the crowd when he came out to tear up the dance floor with his killer Dance mover.
Soft, who is also a fashion model, dressed in a shiny denim outfit and danced to the instrumentals played by the DJ.
Odumodu Black
Trendy Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu popularly known as Odumodu Blvck also performed at the Timeless concert on Sunday.
The rapper who rose to prominence with the release of ‘Picanto’ in 2022 alongside Zlatan and Ecko Miles performed his latest hit ‘DECLAN RICE’ and shouted the lyrics to the crowd especially the ‘Ekelebe Stunner’ part.
Davido x Morravey x Fave
Performing the third track from his album ‘Timeless’, Davido sang alongside new actor Morravey who featured on the song.
The amazing young singer made her major album debut that night singing alongside Davido.
Davido also performed ‘Kante’ with Fave from the timeless album
Entered fan
While Davido was performing his 2017 hit single ‘Fia’ a fan of the singer went on stage to meet the artist.
Davido immediately went on the defensive to have his bodyguards pull out the intruding fan.
Sina Rambo plays Overseas
Davido’s cousin Sina Adeleke popularly known as Sina Rambo also took to the stage to perform the hit song ‘overseas’.
The song ‘Overseas’ was released in 2012 by Davido featuring Sina Rambo on the song.
Yes, Khaid’s performance
Nigerian music star, Iyanya was also at the event and performed his all time hit Mr Oreo released in 2015.
New singer Khaid also performed an energetic rendition of the hit song ‘Carry me go’ ft Boy Spyce at the concert.
David and Asake
The highlight was when YBNL artiste Asake took to the stage alongside Davido performing ‘No Competition’ from his album Timeless.
Asake, who appeared on the track, raised the crowd and Davido, who was happy to see, finished the song together.
Other performances
The night was also filled with performances from British rapper Tion Wayne who performed ‘Who’s True’ and Starboy Terri who performed his hit song ‘Ojoro’.
Mayorkun, Skibii and Peruzzi also worked with the man of the night.
