The school and the city of Laval were rocked Friday afternoon by a shooting that injured four people. About 500 students were blocked off for more than four hours as police worked to secure the area.
Laval police chief Pierre Brochet said “some of the victims” were members of the Flamehead Boys street, which is active in Laval. However, Brochet insisted that the shootings took place in a park near the school and “have no connection with CEGEPA”. The suspect in the shooting is still being sought.
