Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has won the award for Best African Act at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards.
At the awards ceremony on Sunday, Burna Boy was nominated alongside Ayra Starr, Musa Keys, Tems, Zuchu and Black Sheriff.
The winner was announced but he was not physically there to receive his prize.
