Ass Turkish champions Besiktas are looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer market, with Nigerian winger Anthony Nwakaeme making their top transfer list.
The 33-year-old left winger left Trabzonspor at the start of the 2022/23 season and currently plays for Saudi club Al-Fayha in the Saudi Professional League.
Besiktas are making plans to strengthen their squad under new coach Senol Gunes for the second half of the season and the former Trabzonspor player is at the top of the list.
According to Sporx, Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci has already contacted Nwakaeme and his Saudi club and is ready to offer a player in an exchange deal for a season-long loan.
Besiktas are 8th in the league standings with 22 points, seven points behind leaders Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super League.
Nwakaem signed a two-year contract with Al-Fayha that will keep him at the Saudi Arabian club until 2024, and his impressive performance with three goals in seven games for Al-Fayha FC in the Saudi Pro League has sparked interest. Turkish League
