Nigeria’s 100m hurdles world champion and record holder Tobi Amusan has made the top five finalists for the 2022 Women’s World Athlete of the Year award, according to a statement released by World Athletics on Monday.
The five finalists for the Women’s World Athlete of the Year Award have been confirmed as the countdown to the 2022 World Athletics Awards continues.
According to World Athletics, a record 1.3 million votes were cast via email and online voting via World Athletics social media platforms.
The three-vote process to determine the finalists for the 2022 World Athletes ended on October 31 and the winner will be announced on World Athletics’ social media platforms in early December.
