    Aisha Buhari withdraws case against university student who trolled her

    Nigerian President Aisha Buhari’s wife on Friday withdrew her case against Aminu Adamu’s student. Federal University, DutseHe was arrested for trolling on Twitter.

    The student was remanded at the Suleja Prison Center in Niger State on Tuesday after being charged to court by the police, according to his lawyer, CK Agu.

    Mr. Agu confirmed to BBC Hausa in the evening that the president’s wife has withdrawn the case against the student.

    Mr. Adamu, a final year student, tweeted a picture of Mrs. Buhari with the caption: “Mama is feeding fat with poor people’s money.”

    The tweet was posted on June 9, but Mr. Adamu was arrested earlier this month when the tweet went viral.
