Nigeria’s Air Peace has suspended flights to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) for not issuing visas to Nigerians.
Emirates Airlines in the UAE had earlier canceled flights, citing the inability to repatriate ticket funds in addition to the reduced number of passengers on the journey.
Nigeria’s indigenous carrier, Air Peace, however, said it would suspend operations from Tuesday, November 22, 2022, “until further notice”.
In a statement, the Airline said: “This is due to the failure of the United Arab Emirates government to issue visas to Nigerian passengers and related inconveniences.
“Air Peace has been operating to the UAE even with the recent travel restrictions in the country, but given the increased barriers for Nigerian travelers to enter the country, it has become imperative to suspend our operations to that destination. We will provide further updates as the situation develops.
“Passengers whose flights are affected by this development can contact our Call Center to address their concerns.”
