Veteran comedian Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth on Thursday announced his breakup with his wife, Elsie Okpocha.
PUNCH previously reported that Basketmouth celebrated Elsie’s 44th birthday around September, but did not celebrate their wedding anniversary which is usually in November.
Taking to her verified social media to announce the divorce, Basketmouth wrote: “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life into the public space, it is an unavoidable situation.
“After much consideration, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“As we move forward individually, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate these times. Thank you,” he said.
