Seven-time Super Champions Nigeria will compete against host nation Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in the group stage of the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations semi-finals from February 19 to March 11 in Egypt. All four teams are in Group A.
In the draw held in Cairo on Friday evening, Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo were also placed in Group B, while Gambia, Tunisia, Benin Republic and Zambia will be classified in Group C.

Egypt qualified automatically as hosts, while Tunisia from North Africa and Mozambique and Zambia were drawn from the COSAFA zone. Gambia Senegal joined WAFU A while Benin Republic, who lost to Nigeria in the WAFU B final in Niamey in May, joined Nigeria from WAFU zone B.
Congo-Brazzaville and the Central African Republic withdrew from Central Africa, while Uganda and South Sudan are representing East Africa.
