Nollywood actress, Deyemi Okanlawon has recounted an unfortunate experience she had with a failed road user on Thursday morning.
Okanlawon took to Twitter to reveal how he escaped the thugs after a driver, who washed his car, raised a false alarm.
Narrating the incident, the Blood Sisters actress stated that the said driver called his assistant a thief after the latter tried to settle the matter amicably.
The false alarm then attracted the “zone guys” who started beating up his assistant.
“Never be so obscene! Guy scratches my car and my assistant went with him so we can fix the problem on the road,” he tweeted.
“Guy drives the other way, gets out of his car and then starts yelling ‘THIEF’! The boys from the area gathered and started beating my assistant.
“Of course, the boys around, after one of them had slapped my boy for the stupidity of laying hands on him, turned on the boy when I showed up. Now I had to choose between going back and de-escalating the situation!
“He was really going to let the guys around hurt my assistant! Part of me wishes I had tried to fight instead of begging. I know someone would draw blood!’
Okanlawon added that he was still “shocked” by the experience because he came so close to “physically hurting another human being.”
“Omo, we were brought up to value peace but we are trained to do real damage. Still shaken by how close I came to physically hurting another human being this morning!
“God, oh, that my career is just beginning to make sense, deliver me from evil!” he prayed
